Anime is our passion at R-Galaxy. We attempt to carry virtually every anime program officially released in the U.S., and carry whole series in their entirety, not just a few scattered volumes here and there like most video rental stores. We take pride in offering complete storylines and series, because we are fans too!
Our entire staff watches and loves animation of all kinds. When you visit our rental room of over 10,000 titles, more than 5,000 of these are anime series and movies for rental. When you are in the store, if you need any recommendations or assistance in finding a title or series that suits your individual tastes, please ask us.
"Vision of Escaflowne" is a fabulous series that incorporates
very stylized Japanese animation, a fantasy storyline set in an alternate
reality, and includes a plotline involving giant "mecha" warriors.
With a soundtrack that rivals some of the best Hollywood scores,
R-Galaxy wholeheartedly recommends this anime series.
Rumiko Takihashi (better known for the charming character Lum
from "Urusei Yatsura" and the fan-favorites "Ranma 1/2" and
"Inu Yasha") also created this slice-of-life Japaneses comedy
set in a suburban Japanese apartment run by a lovely,
young widow inthe highly recommended series
"Maison Ikkoku."
A great example of the many un-released series yet to
release in America is "Future Boy Conan" by the
master of Japanese animation, Hiyao Miyazaki.
This charming series is set in a future where humanity
has allowed science todevastate the environment,
and how one young orphan, together with two young friends,
changes the course of the world. This series formed
the basis of Miyazaki's famous "Laputa: Castle In The Sky,"
re-released by Disney for the U.S. several years ago.
